Academy Awards Preview with Tom Santilli at Library (FH) (RSVP)

Join the Library for a discussion of the 2026 Academy Awards with Rotten Tomatoes–approved film critic Tom Santilli! Tom will explore the history of the Oscars, explain the award categories, and discuss why certain films received nominations. Attendees will also have the opportunity to vote for their favorite movies of the year. There will even be a free raffle with giveaways!

Whether you have seen the nominated films or are simply interested in movies, this is a great program for film lovers of all ages.

Tom Santilli is the executive producer and film critic for Movie Show Plus, the longest-running movie show in Metro Detroit. He is a former president of the Detroit Film Critics Society and a current member of the Critics Choice Association and the Hollywood Creative Alliance. He has previously served as a featured film critic on WXYZ (ABC–Detroit) and FOX 2 Detroit, and as a national film critic for AXS.com.
