The New Librarians are curators of the coolest music on the planet—a Metro Detroit and Lansing–area band bringing Jump Blues, early R&B, and vintage Swing back to the heart of the community. Performed by a seasoned lineup of drums, guitar, bass, and saxophone, their music is inspired by pioneers such as Louis Jordan, Bill Haley & His Comets, and Big Joe Turner. Their sets swing, groove, and completely shake up the library stacks with high energy. Combine those classic American rhythms, and you can visualize the exact birth of Rock & Roll.
