From weekly outdoor concerts to special events in the park, there’s always a way to enjoy great tunes under the sun (or stars). Here’s what you need to know to make the most of concert season in and around Farmington and Farmington Hills!

Free Summer Concert Series Returns to Farmington Hills

The City of Farmington Hills is bringing back its Free Summer Concert Series, inviting the community to relax and enjoy live music all summer long. Hosted by the City’s Special Services Department Cultural Arts Division, this all-ages series features a wide variety of performers and genres, with shows scheduled from Thursday, June 12 through August 14.

“In Farmington Hills, the arts are an essential service and inviting community members to free concerts is our way of celebrating the arts all summer long,” said Rachel Timlin, Cultural Arts Supervisor for the City of Farmington Hills Special Services Department. “Last year, summer storms meant that a few outdoor concerts had to be cancelled, but nothing can rain on our parade! That’s why we’re changing it up this year and bringing a couple shows inside to The Hawk Theatre.”

The series opens on June 12 at 5:30 p.m. with the Jai Ho Indian Music and Dance Celebration at The Hawk Theatre Mainstage, part of the City’s annual Kickoff 2 Summer event.
