Detroit Repair Cafe at Library (FH)

Don’t toss it—fix it! Bring your broken items to the Repair Cafe and work with local volunteers to repair them. From clothing and jewelry to lamps and vacuums, they’ll help you give your items a second life while learning useful repair skills. You’re also welcome to observe or work on your own repair projects.

The event is first-come first-served, and you will stay with your item the entire time. If your repair requires a specific part, please bring it for the best opportunity to complete the repair. The group does keep some spare parts on hand.

Repair Cafe is an international movement with thousands of groups around the world, meeting regularly to combat waste and teach lost skills by helping you to repair your things. If you cannot make this Repair Cafe, join the Detroit Repair Cafe at their monthly meetup.
