Family Fun in Riley Park: Randy Kaplan

Join us Wednesdays from 7–8 p.m. for free family fun! Bring a blanket, arrive early to enjoy a picnic, or grab dinner from one of the local restaurants, then relax and enjoy the show. Family Fun in Riley Park is sponsored by the Farmington Friends of the Library and the Farmington DDA.
June 17 – Randy Kaplan is a singer, songwriter, playwright, poet, and performer. He is renowned for his “not-just-for-kids” music, first in Brooklyn in the mid-aughts and now nationwide.
June 24 – The Magic of Jeff Wawrzaszek (pronounced War-Zak)! Jeff is one of Michigan’s most popular and experienced magicians. He has been entertaining audiences for 50 years. That doesn’t mean he is really old…just that he discovered his passion and niche early in life.
July 8 – McKayla Prew (the Pink Cowgirl Hat–wearing pop-country artist) is a singer-songwriter and self-described “Pop-Country Princess.” She began performing at age four and writing songs at just 10 years old, and she hasn’t looked back since.
July 22 – The Hustle! Join Dance with Elegance for 60 minutes of upbeat line-dancing fun! Each hustle will be taught step by step, making it easy to follow—even for beginners. After learning and reviewing the moves, we’ll put it all together and dance to the music. No experience needed—just bring your energy and enthusiasm!
