Film Festival: Resurgo at The Civic

KickstART Farmington is pleased to announce that the annual Farmington Film Festival (formerly known as the Greater Farmington Film Festival) will return exclusively to the Farmington Civic Theater in downtown Farmington on March 5-8, 2026. The Farmington Film Festival will present a mix of documentary and narrative films that celebrate the creative spirit and the power of the arts to inspire a better world. This year’s festival theme focuses on art and the creative spirit.

7:00 pm – Resurgo – Directed by Stephen McGee -107 minutes
A landmark documentary from director Stephen McGee and poet-producer Jessica Care Moore, created from twenty years of immersive filmmaking in Detroit. Drawing from millions of photographs and thousands of hours of footage, the film presents a powerful, people-centered portrait of a city defined by creativity, endurance, and humanity. *This screening will be followed by a Q&A/Discussion with the film’s director and several participants*
