Music of the Fabulous 40’s at the Library (FH Location)

The Farmington Community Library has two locations. This event will be held in the Auditorium at the FCL Farmington Hills location at 32737 W. 12 Mile Rd., Farmington Hills, MI, 48334.
Join SOAR Lifelong Learning Institute for an engaging afternoon filled with the music of the Fabulous 40s. SOAR faculty, Stuart Johnson, will guide you through Big Band and Swing as well as the “pop” music of the time. Highlights include Glenn Miller, Tommy Dorsey, and The Andrews Sisters.
Stuart Johnson has lectured throughout the Metro Detroit Area on Jazz and Jazz related topics. He has presented at the International Association of Jazz Record Collectors, and this Fall will mark his 40th presentation to SOAR members. Johnson always receives the highest praise on his class evaluations.
The afternoon will also include information about SOAR LLI and how you can enjoy learning the way you always hoped it would be. No Studying! No Homework! No Tests!
