Snorkeling River Survey at Heritage Park

Anyone welcome!
Who: Snorkelers interested in helping ID fish species in river systems.
What: Participate in an in-depth survey of the Upper Rouge River documenting pollution-sensitive cold-water fish species. We’ll keep our eyes peeled for Northern Hognose Suckers, Molted Sculpin, American Brook Lamprey, and Redside Dace.
When: May 17 at 11am ET, address provided in this event. We will meet in the parking lot.
Equipment to bring: Wetsuit (5 or 7mm – water temps 50s-60s F), wetsuit or drysuit boots with hard bottom, mask, snorkel, weight belt, and if you have them bring a waterproof camera and/or underwater slate to help you track the species you spot. Waterproof species ID charts will be included.
