SUMMARY:Detroit Metropolitan Youth Symphony Open House at The Hawk
DESCRIPTION:9:30-12 – Open rehearsal @ the Hawk in Farmington Hills\nExperience DMYS for a day – bring your instrument and music stand and rehearse with our renowned orchestras.  All Open House participants should print a copy of the DMYS music and BRING A MUSIC STAND! You will be emailed a link to the music after registering – please print in advance!\n\nReady to audition?  Play for our conductors same day (at break or directly following rehearsal) and normal audition fee is waived (pending section availability).  Review audition and orchestra requirements at: https://www.detroitmys.org/orchestras \n\nPlease note that accepted students will be eligible to enroll early for the 2026-27 season and start in September 2026.  \n\n\nThere will be a short\, informal Q&A for interested parents at 9:45 in the lobby.  Parents should plan to pick up  students AFTER rehearsal (11:30 Sinfonia\, 12pm for String\, Concert\, Symphony).\n\n\nQuestions?  Contact:  Auditions@DetroitMYS.org

DESCRIPTION:*FAMILY CLASS: While we welcome painters of any age\, this is recommended for ages 7 and up. \n*PRE-REGISTRATION RECOMMENDED: it is recommended that guests register for class prior to arrival to guarantee your reservation and any special seating requests. You will receive an email/text confirmation if properly registered. Payment is due at the time of the reservation to guarantee your seat. You may reserve & make payment online. \n*WHAT TO BRING: You are welcome to bring in light snacks and drinks. NO Alcohol permitted. You must provide your OWN cups\, plates and utensils for food. \n*CLASS TIME: Painting begins PROMPTLY at class time! Please arrive 30 minutes prior to class time to park\, check-in\, unwind & get smocked! If you are late to the class you may not be allowed to paint and your payment will be forfeited. \n*SEATING REQUESTS:\nIf you’re coming with others\, but making reservations separately\, give us your group’s name in the Special Request box. We’ll seat you together. If you make a late reservation we may not be able to seat you with your requested group. No seat changes are guaranteed at class time! \n*PWAT reserves the right to cancel classes for unforeseen circumstances. Registrants will be refunded.
