DESCRIPTION:Library events are always free to the public and you do not need a library card to attend! \nThe Farmington Community Library has two locations. This event will be held in the Auditorium at the FCL Farmington Hills location at 32737 W. 12 Mile Rd.\, Farmington Hills\, MI 48334. \nNo registration is required.   \nJoin us for this monthly homeschool program for parents and their children. Come explore different topics and connect with fellow homeschoolers. Thinking about homeschooling?—come and learn from others. All ages welcome but the activities will be geared more to elementary age. \n2025: \nSeptember 12: Block Party! Have fun with the BIG blue blocks and with many other blocks! \nOctober 17: Fire Safety Presentation by the Farmington Hills Fire Department \nNovember 14: Yarn Fun—Make fun things out of yarn! Learn how to crochet! If possible\, bring some yarn to use and share. \n2026: \nJanuary 9: Lego Day! Time to build\, play and learn with Lego bricks! \nFebruary 13: Heart Art! Come make fun things out of hearts! \nMarch 13: Game Day– Come play board games\, card games and more. Bring a game from home to play with others! \nApril 10: STEAM Day!  Explore fun STEAM activities (Science\, Technology\, Engineering\, Art\, and Math). \n

This event will be held in the Meeting Room at the FCL Farmington location at 23500 Liberty St.\, Farmington\, MI 48335.  \nRegistration is not required.  \nEvery 3rd Friday from September to December\, you can get together with friends in an open lab session and jump into the fun world of coding. \nLearn how to code with FCL’s Fiero Code program! \nEvery 3rd Friday from September to December\, get together with friends in an open lab session and jump into the fun world of coding. Learn at your own pace or work together on different projects\, like designing a website\, programming a dancing robot\, or designing video games! \nIf you don’t have a Fiero Code account yet\, we can help you set one up. You’ll need an email address. If you have a Farmington Community Library card\, please have your card number and PIN with you. If you don’t have an FCL card\, no problem—staff can still help you get started. \nParticipants can either bring their own laptops or use one of the library’s laptops. Laptops are limited\, so we encourage participants to share with a friend. \nFunding is provided by the Bosch Community Fund.

SUMMARY:Hayride Central
DESCRIPTION:Enjoy family hayrides through the trails of Heritage Park! Rides leave every 1/2 hour from 5:30-7:30pm: LAST RIDE LEAVES AT 7pm. After the ride\, purchase a cup of cider and s’more kit to roast around a cozy campfire for $1 (not included in hayride fee). You can add-on your s’more and cider kit online at check-out\, includes a roasting stick. Don’t forget to explore the Nature Center\, open until 7pm on Hayride nights.\nHayrides leave from the Nature Center parking lot. Check-in with Nature Center Staff near the campfire upon arrival.\nHayride are held RAIN OR SHINE. Dress accordingly. If SEVERE weather occurs\, the ride will be cancelled and participants will be notified the day-of with an option to transfer\, if available. Please register in advance\, hayrides fill quickly\, and space is limited.
