His songs exhibit a palpable tension between tenderness and irony\, profundity and slapstick\, aching beauty and fierce rock & roll. He creates poetic alchemy by pairing words and melody in a way that is more powerful than each would be separately. \nMike’s songs cover all kinds of ground\, painting human portraits of his extended family members\, hilarious takes on being stuck at home during the pandemic\, stream-of-consciousness journeys\, a filthy and frustrated blues\, a glimpse into the life of an abused woman\, and many mature love songs. In concert\, Mike takes audiences on a wild emotional ride\, showing them beauty and humor and everything in between. \n  \n*Beer and wine will be available for patrons 21 years and above.

DESCRIPTION:9:30-12 – Open rehearsal @ the Hawk in Farmington Hills\nExperience DMYS for a day – bring your instrument and music stand and rehearse with our renowned orchestras.  All Open House participants should print a copy of the DMYS music and BRING A MUSIC STAND!
