DESCRIPTION:Soulful yin yoga is a non yoga studio type classs.\nI am a teacher that enjoys connecting with our bodies. This yoga class is to tune in to our body\, see how it responds to the breath and movement and really use the breath to feel expansion in the body.\nThis class is suitable for people who are not overly flexible\, sometimes need a chair instead of a mat\, like to feel good in their body but not push it to the max\, and spend time getting to your body every week as a devotion not a chore.\nThis class is not about maximizing the pose or pushing past your limits.\nSoulful Yin Yoga is not always just yoga sometimes we do tai chi\, use the wall for restorative poses or tennis balls for our body.\nJoin us if you feel called to come back home to yourself every week.\n$15/class\nAlicia Clark is the instructor for Soulful Yin Yoga. She has been living the yoga life since 2010 and began teaching in 2018. She has tried all different styles of yoga. She is known for her ability to perform a diverse range of literature spanning many genres. She has been presented in solo recitals that include Art Song\, Operatic Arias\, Spirituals\, Musical Theater and Jazz. She is frequently engaged in Oratorio and Symphonic presentations. Alice is a long-standing member of the Award-Winning Brazeal Dennard Chorale and accepted the role of Artistic Director in September of 2015. In her debut season as Artistic Director\, Ms. McAllister Tillman had the honor of conducting The Brazeal Dennard Chorale and the Detroit Symphony Orchestra in a performance of Roland Carter’s Lift Every Voice and Sing. She holds a Master of Music in Vocal Performance\, a Bachelor of Music in Vocal Performance and a State of Michigan Teacher Certification from The University of Michigan School of Music\, Theater & Dance.
