Local groups opposed them\, fearing such a place would elicit “immoral behavior.” But the Clark family persevered to see its movie palace become a Metro Detroit mainstay\, hosting celebrities\, rock stars and a never-ending line of families with kids in footie pajamas. A handshake transferred ownership to movie magnate Charles Shafer and his business partner\, Bill Clark\, who expanded the theater to a massive nine screens. But blockbusters and hordes of teens couldn’t mitigate the effects of Detroit’s decline\, auto company bankruptcies and Michigan’s economic malaise. Despite it all\, the mighty Ford-Wyoming kept the movies showing\, bringing a bit of Hollywood glamour to the gritty Motor City.

You will receive an email/text confirmation if properly registered. Payment is due at the time of the reservation to guarantee your seat. You may reserve & make payment online. \n*WHAT TO BRING: You are welcome to bring in light snacks and drinks including Beer and Wine to enjoy. You must provide your OWN cups\, plates and utensils for food. **ABSOLUTELY NO HARD ALCOHOL ALLOWED\, NO EXCEPTIONS** You must be at least 21 years of age with proper identification to consume alcohol in the studio. \n*CLASS TIME: Painting begins PROMPTLY at class time! Please arrive 30 minutes prior to class time to park\, check-in\, unwind & get smocked! DESCRIPTION:We will begin with gentle grounding and intention setting before moving into a guided somatic breathwork journey. Using activated breathing within a trauma-informed container\, this experience is designed to facilitate deep nervous system release and the activation and movement of stored emotions and energy in the body. \nYou’ll be guided through intentional breath patterns that work with the nervous system\, allowing what has been suppressed to safely surface\, move\, and integrate. While the experience is structured\, it is also intuitive—honoring your body’s pace and needs throughout the journey. \nSupported by shamanic music and tools\, somatic guidance\, gentle touch\, and a carefully held group space\, you’ll be invited to stay connected to your body while moving through activation and emotional release. Following the breathwork you will be supported to return to regulation and integration. We will end with an offering for tea and light snacks for nourishment. \nRooted in the energy of Breath & Bloom\, this is an invitation to soften\, open\, and tend to your inner landscape—creating space for your natural unfolding. \nPlease Note: For your safety\, participants are required to arrive sober. This experience is not recommended for those who are currently pregnant\, have had recent surgery within the past four weeks\, or have a history of glaucoma or detached retina. If you have questions or concerns\, please reach out prior to attending. \nImportant notes \nWe prioritize safety and there are a few contraindications to be considered for participation in the style of breathwork. Each participant will need to sign a waiver indicating any health conditions that may be a barrier to participating.
