This workshop will help parents learn how to keep children safe online and support their mental health. Two experts from the American Academy of Pediatrics Center of Excellence on Social Media and Youth Mental Health will share easy-to-follow tips for parents of children ages 8–15. You will learn: \n\nHow to set up safety controls on phones\, apps\, and websites\nWhat to do if your child is feeling sad\, stressed\, or in danger online\nWhat steps to take to protect your child and get help\n\nThere will be time to ask questions and share experiences with other parents.

DESCRIPTION:If you enjoy regular visits to Heritage Park\, become a trained bluebird monitor volunteer! Bluebird monitors get the opportunity to visit sensitive areas of the park\, while gathering information from bird nesting boxes. The data is used by the national www.nestwatch.org monitoring program to help protect birds around the country. The Bluebird Monitor Training is virtual! You can become a trained monitor from home. Link will be emailed out to registrants close to event date.
